National Lithoteque keeps collection of lithic raw-material of Europe, particularly raw materials of central Europe, which were used in prehistory and early historic époques.

Lithoteque is available to scholars and students, for primary and comparative studies and consultations. We plan to equip the Lithoteque with petrographic microscopes for side reflected light and for transmitted light, and to gradually develop comparative collection of thin-sections of stone raw materials and ceramics.
