The Department of Archaeology and Museology at Masaryk University is one of the most stable institutions of archaeological research and education in Czech Republic. It was established as early as 1930, and thanks to methodological, personal and instrumentation development particularly in last twenty years it represent modern research entity in international scale. DAM and its research centres realize archaeological, anthropological and paleoecological field and theoretical research, employ natural sciences, and informatics, and take part in cultural and natural heritage protection. We participate in the UNESCO Chair worldwide net.
