Přednáška prof. Fabrice Monna a dr. Estelle Camizuli

Srdečně vás zveme na první přednášku z cyklu Archeologických kolokvií pro semestr Podzim 2017, kterou pod názvem Former mining: Historical reconstruction from its persisting impact on current environment přednesou prof. Fabrice Monna a dr. Estelle Camizuli. Přednáška se uskuteční dne 26. 9. 2017 od 18:00 hod. v učebně T103 budovy M (ÚAM, Kounicova 67a – budova VUT).

Abstract:

As the result of an increasingly restrictive legislation, problems related to trace elements pollution in the atmosphere have mostly been overcome during the past three decades, at least for European industrial societies. Does this mean that the threat has definitely disappeared? This is far from certain. Several examples from recent works undertaken in the Morvan, the Alps and the Cévennes show the persisting impact of metallic micropollutants on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, currently protected by public authorities. The environmental legacy left by our predecessors (often mining works undertaken during the last four millennia) must be taken into an account in order to ensure appropriate long term environmental management. Nonetheless, this impact can be used in an archaeological purpose, in order to discover the places where former mining took place, or to reconstruct the history and the nature of former exploitations. Although the ultimate objectives of environmentalists and archaeologists are different, their attempts to understand the interaction of man and environment may be mutually enriching.

Prof. Fabrice Monna (Environmental Geochemistry, Université de Bourgogne - CNRS - Ministère de la Culture) je profesorem na Université Bourgogne a zabývá se zkoumáním stop dávných lidských aktivit v současných ekosystémech a rozvíjením technik získávání a zpracování archeologických dat.

Dr. Estelle Camizuli (Environmental Geochemistry, Université de Bourgogne - CNRS - Ministère de la Culture) je postdoktorandkou na Université Savoie Mont Blanc a zkoumá agronomický potenciál půd v antice a dopad starých důlních aktivit na současné ekosystémy.
